I enjoy history, science, and the research that goes along with trying to learn how things came to be. As a Baby Boomer in the turbulent 60s, my hope was to become a photojournalist. That led me as a young man to join the US Marines in search of a good story. There is usually a camera hanging around my neck whenever I go backpacking in the Sierra Mountains, or traveling to a new place.

I'm an amateur genealogist who wants to know where the bodies are buried. I can't resist poking around a cemetery, or trying to solve the mystery of an unknown photo. Recently, I published a genealogy book on my family's ancestry with maps and many older pictures that were turned up.

As a professional industrial engineer with an M.B.A., a Six Sigma Black Belt, and wide experience in manufacturing, my day job has taken me around to many factories in the USA and Europe. I plan to write more about my generation, technology, and genealogy.
